Additional Notes: This is a popular social training ride for experienced riders, racing cyclists and triathletes alike. The ride heads to Redcliffe via Gympie Road and Petrie and returns via Sandgate and Nudgee Road. Heading out at an average speed around 30-32 km/h until picking up speed considerably for a paceline over the last ten kilometres into Redcliffe. Quick stop for a bite to eat at the Redcliffe bakery and then home via Sandgate at an average speed of 33-35 km/h.

Riders need to be experienced, able to fix minor mechanicals and reasonably fit before attempting this ride. If a southerly is blowing, it can be pretty hard work on the way home, especially over the Hornibrook Bridge and along the Brighton foreshore. The ride is well organised, the bunch is friendly and it is a great way to get some good kilometres under your belt on a Sunday.
