The La Bicicletta Pro Shop do various loops around Vancouver. Sometimes out and around Richmond, UBC loops, Horseshoe Bay loops, and even up to Cypress or Seymour some days. One weeknight ride is easy while the other is a much faster training rides. Sunday morning rides are pretty mellow averaging 25-35 km/h.
Safe and friendly bunch riding on the most scenic road in Australia. There are not many bunches where the call of "Koala ahead" is relatively common. Its a Medium paced ride covering about 50-100kms depending on where you start.

Join the Velo Club D'ardbeg Sunday Ride for a 60-70km ride around various roads around the Isle of Islay depending on ability of those taking part and the direction of the headwind.
A 100km Ride on Sundays leaving from the Old School site at 6:30am - This ride goes through Dardanup, Ferguson Valley, Lowden, stops for 20 mins in Donnybrook for coffee, then back to Bunbury. The ride has varied terrain, with a number of hills through the Ferguson Vally, but flat after the 50 km mark. Note this ride is not on when official club events are on.
Two ride on two different days (Saturdays and Thursdays) from the Entertainment Centre, 2 Blair St Bunbury! The Saturday ride has 3 group rides that start at the same time. Group 1 averages approx 36 km/hr. Ride together on the flats at about 40km/hr and stay together but riders go through the hills at their own pace and regroup at the end. There is a sprint section towards the end of the ride!
Tauranga Road Cycling Club Training Rides. Non members are allowed to ride two times with the club before they must join to continue their participation. Members of other clubs must become an associate member if they wish to ride on Tauranga Road Cycling Club more than two times in a season.

Join the Crusty's ride in Ulverstone Tasmania for 60 - 80 km's ride, average speed around 30 km/h. Route is normally decided on the day depending on weather conditions.
A 40 or 60km ride on Saturdays starting at 6am for the early risers. It starts from the Bike Force shop in Balcatta Western Australia.
This ride leaves at 7.45am on Sundays to Lobethal via Norton Summit & Lobethal Rd, coffee at the Market complex there. Slow group returns same route, fast group via Cudlee Creek & Gorge Rd.
Join the Night Espresso Bunch Ride which leaves at 7pm in two or three groups of different speeds. Finish about 9pm. Usually hilly unless the weather interferes.

Fast and Easy options available, If you are not looking to get smashed but want to test yourself a little, this may be the ride for you. Quiet country roads with fair to good surfaces over flat and undulating terrain with some challenging hills on most rides. (When you live at Highfields, it is part of the deal.)

A good way to get the cobwebs out after a hard day at the office. Start times vary according to the season and available light but never earlier than 4 nor later than 5.
Easy Ride straight down the Torquay Highway into Torquay. Turn left at the road about into Bell Street and then left again onto the Esplanade. Follow the Esplanade around until the roadabout at Horseshoe Bend Road and turn left again. Return to Geelong.
This ride goes in three waves on Sundays. "Cruisers," our slower riders, leave at 6:20 AM, followed by "Middies" at 6:30 AM and "Fasties" at 6:40 AM. All travel to Waterfall via the Princes Highway, Grand Parade, Taren Point Road, Kingsway, Sutherland the Princes Highway again...
The ride has two different groups. There's an easy one and a moderate one. The easy on is a cruise through Taroona and into Kingston and then turns back around, Bonnet hill is the only hill but everyone waits for everyone. It's not a race. The harder ride goes up to Ferntree and then down into Leslievale and into Kingston, it then travels back through Taroona.
Easy Wednesday Night spin out through Camden to the bottom of razorback then as we hit Finns rd the ride gets going and basically a race through Menangle and all the way back to Campbelltown. Good hit out for a Wednesday evening during Daylight saving - varying abilities and everyone is waited for back at Campbelltown.
The Razor Back Ride starts off at Narellan road bus shelter Mt Annan and follows old Hume Hwy to the top of razorback range. Everyone is waited for at top of mountain then we decend down old razorback through Cobbitty and into Camdem. slow pace up till razorback then all let loose to the top, good pace into Camden from there. Big numbers specially in summer.
The Bikeline Sunday ride is a 40km Loop which gets around 30+riders for a medium to hard hit out leaving from the Bikeline shop every Sunday.
Head out with the Bikeline Shop ride for a early week day 30km town loop all year round. Its a Medium to Hard ride that starts and leaves from the shop.
Join the Pickled Pedallers at Mozaik Cafe (Mairangi Bay Auckland) every Sunday for a 80km ride through low traffic scenic and rural areas. It's a Medium paced ride with a about 20-30 riders with an average speed usually around 25 - 28km/h. Must enjoy coffee and chatting!
The LUNE Racing Cycling Club Group Rides on Sundays leave Dalton Square at 9-15 prompt. ‘B’ rides will be about 60 miles and are planned as sensibly paced club runs with café stop is included en- route. In the Winter season there's two groups with a A group at 9am and a steady group at 9.15am.
This M1 Cycles ride gets pretty firm in places but if you fall off, you can take the odd short cut to get back to the bunch whilst they are rolling along. These rides have strict etiquette, you may be told to shape up, don't take it to heart, it is all about safety.
Easy ride, suitable for beginners, just starting to ride in the bunch. Ride leaves M1 Cycles at 5.30 and does 2 loops of a 17km circuit, then back to M1. Ride is a learning ride for starters and includes tips on bunch etiquette and yes, if you do something silly, you will be chatted. A friendly and helpful bunch ride.
This is a firm round the block ride. Gladstone-Yarwun-Calliope-Gladstone. Paceline for 14km at 35-45kph, 2 x Hill climbs. Experienced stronger riders are generally able to hang on to the bunch. In winter, the ride changes to "Haddock Hell Ride" 3 laps of hilly circuit with 20% climbs. The M1 Cycles rides are a friendly bunch but always put safety first, so no silly bunch moves. Etiquette is the key.
The M1 Cycles Block Ride goes from Gladstone to Targinnie across to Calliope and over River Ranch Hills and Haddock Drive, Back to Maccas. Haddock drive is 1 .8km climb with 2 short 25% hills in the middle.
Met at Uncle Leo\'s Truck stop Service Station at 6.45am on the 2nd 3rd and 4th Sunday of the month. Depart 7am Sharp. Ride approx 80km stop halfway for Coffee. medium pace to fast at end of ride. Plenty of history on this ride and great undulating roads.
If you live in the Barambah area and surrounds and would like someone to ride with, this group rides mostly on the weekend (or sometimes during the week) for a recreational ride of probably 30-60 km. This group tries to stay away from the busy highways.
This is probably THE ride to do when in Noosa, there's a ride every day of the week. Noosa Crew usually have lots of tourists on their bunch rides throughout the year and many pros/ex pros also liven the bunch up throughout the year. The bunch is triathlete friendly.
Another 80km ride, this one heads out from the Turret coffee shop, 802 Sturt St Ballarat VIC 3350, Australia at 8.30am on Sundays returning back to the start.
Join the Turret Group Ride which always goes out into the wind and returns with tail wind, usually average about 30km/hr for 80kms
The ride is a 65km loop, travels through Forest Reefs, Tallwood and Spring Terrace returning to Orange at about 09:00am. Shorter option available by bypassing Tallwood loop. Various unofficial sprint points along the route and a KOM for those keen to have a dig. Final 15km fast pace, swapping turns with a sprint to finish.
TheKidsons Saturday Morning Dash is a very friendly bunch that has tri-athletes, bike racers, AUDAX and recreational riders mixing in together. The experience level of riders in the bunch is usually very good. If you want to learn how to swap off turns, then this is the ride for you. Great fun and most sit around the coffee shop for an hour afterwards. You will be back in town by 8.30am
The Gregadoo Loop is a training ride for all, you have seasoned racers to beginners. Tuesday is usually the harder day. The ride starts out with a long slow drag to the top of a hill, descends and over another short climb for a fast run to an old club racing sprint line. Then it's fairly sedate back to the lake.
The Aspendale Breezers ride takes us along picturesque Beach Road for both directions with all partipants enjoying the view of the Bay for the entire trip. All genders, ages, nationality are welcomed. We expect everyone to respect other riders and abide the road rules with out exception.
Join the Echuca Morning Ride for a medium paced 35km loop. Starts at 6.30am every weekday and has a bunch size of around 10-20riders.
The Stawell-Halls Gap Saturday Coffee Ride is a social ride from Stawell to Halls Gap, stop for coffee and return to Stawell. Average speed 26-29 kph, but general rule is to ride as fast as the slowest rider. Riders holidaying in Halls Gap can ride to the start point in Stawell and then return to Halls Gap with the bunch. All riders most welcome.
The "Maling Room Ride" (MRR) has been running since January 2007. The ride starts on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, at ~6:00 am at the park on the corner of Canterbury Rd and Avenue Athol, Canterbury. We ride East out Canterbury Rd and take in some of the rolling hills of the Eastern suburbs before returning to Canterbury (see route map linked below). The ride is around 27 km and finishes at 7:00 for coffee at The Maling Room, corner of Maling Rd and Canterbury Rd.

Join the Kingaroy Training Group for a 25-45km ride most days of the week (Tues, Wed, Thurs and Fri) for a 25-45km ride usually quite country roads with some minor hills. The Friday ride is usually shorter & finishes with coffee and the bunch waits at corners for the slower riders.
This started out as a personal training ride for a quick sprint from Bridgewater to Mount Lofty and back after work. Over time, a few locals have joined, and it has become a regular ride for a few of us now. The route starts climbing immediately from the Bridgewater CFS through pleasant rural surroundings
Join the Ashburton Riders Club, for a ride to Sassasfras in the Dandenong ranges. However there are various route options to choose. The decision on which route is usually detailed on the ARC website on the Friday prior to the ride. The most common route is via Burwood Hwy, Mountain Hwy to the Basin then up the 1 in 20 to Sassasfras.
This is a ride from Ashburton to Mordialloc via North Rd then Beach Rd. There is little traffic on the suburban streets at this early hour on the weekend. Beach Rd is a cycling mecca so relatively safe given that the motorists expect to see many cyclist sharing the road.
Join the Tom Wallace Cycles Bunch for 45km Medium to hard ride, its a early 5.30am start and finishes back at the shop on Lutwyche Rd.
Join the Plenty Cycles Bunch Ride for a 30km round trip out to the Kew Boulevard and back. New riders welcome and the usual riders are always happy to give advice to the new riders. This ride is on Saturdays and Sundays.
The Coastal Cruzers welcomes all riders who can maintain above 25km average. The ride leaves at 7am from the Pieman at Inverloch. Beginners welcomed.

The ride travels up the coast along the bike paths until they end. Then the group go on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and pick a canyon to climb up. There is a lot of car traffic on the highway; so, if you are afraid of car traffic you might want to avoid most of Los Angeles. The climbs are pretty tough, but there are some who only stay on the highway (mostly flat.) During the California winter the ride is slow, but during the summer expect race pace.
The Donut Ride loops counter clockwise around the Palos Verdes Peninsula with the exception of one short climb that cuts across the hill (about 12-20 minutes.) This is a fast paced ride. Some riders may be over aggressive or still be new, so be ready for stupidity. The ride regroups at the top of the climb and breaks into smaller groups.

Join the a very sociable bunch of cyclists for a easy 50km ride. The whole bunch stops for a flat. Depending on ability the group sometimes splits into 25Km/Hr and 30Km/Hr+ riders. The ride leaves from Natural Temptations Centrepoint Shopping Centre at Bunbury WA every Saturday at 7.30am.
The ride goes out to the Tuas checkpoint and turns around. The finish is before you arrive back at the shop, some of the guys go to a nearby foodcourt for a feed afterward.

The route is decided on the morning. Can be anything from down to Brunswick Heads and back, to over into Murwillumbah, Buringbah range. Depends on who is there, and abilities etc. Medium grade and about 70-100kms total.
The faster group leaves at 5:30 and a slightly slower group leaves around 5:40.After going through Coolangatta and up to Currumbin to turn around at the Alley, the group comes back the same way. There are a few different options to add varying hills and distance to the ride, from going up Fraser Drive to Terranorra road (2km ~ 5%), to over Bilambil Heights and Hogans Road, then either Murwillumbah for a coffee, or back up Terranorra back toward Tweed
The Sunday School Ride uses 9 sealed roads leading out of Glen Innes in different directions. We try to arrange a tailwind on return route!
The LACC Club meet at the Olympic Park Railway Station, Homebush Bay. The course follows a loop around showground and Stadium Australia. At 6am they stop and send groups off at 30s intervals and usually limits the numbers per group to approx 20 to give everyone a good training experience. There is a group for beginners and riders looking for a moderate (social) pace ably managed by Senior riders.
The Lifecycles 'Tea & Bicky' Ride is 55kms at an average speed 30km. Its a "no drop ride”. This includes punctures and mechanical break downs. No one is left behind. We ride out along Castlereagh Rd to Richmond where we do a loop around Richmond Air Base and then return home along Castlereagh Rd to Penrith. At the “Col de Castlereagh” (top of the hill) with about 10kms to Penrith the bunch usually speeds up resulting in the group dividing up into a fast group and a slightly slower group.
Get out on Saturdays for a great medium paced 45km ride with a few sprints thrown in for fun at Black Rock and Mordialloc. Its a awesome Saturday morning hit out! Great coffee and breakfast at Remobroza (Church St Brighton) after ride.
Join the easy going and non-competitive group ride with MC Cyclery. The new group ride heads out through Maroubra, La Perouse, Randwick and finishes in Centennial Park (approx 50kms). Everyone is welcome, it starts at 7.00AM from MC Cyclery 787 Anzac Pde Maroubra. A moderate pace (average 25-28kph) with a good mix of flat roads and moderate climbs.

Join the Fatties Night Group Ride MTB Bunch. Route in Ivanhoe Victoria changes weekly. 2 hours exploring the single track along the Yarra and surrounds. Ride finishes between 8.30 and 9PM, lights required if darkness falls before this.
The Woodford Island Crew Bunch Ride is a easy mostly flat ride covering about 30-40kms. It's a very social group averaging around 30km/hr following the scenic Clarence River. Mclean is near Ballina up on the the North Coast of NSW.
LeSpit Cyclery has a Saturday ride that heads out to Akuna Bay via Pittwater Rd/Church Point, and returns via Forest Way/Wakehurst Pkwy. The ride ends back at Mosman for a coffee at one of the many Cafes. Its a medium-hard ride which covers about 70kms.

The LeSpit Cyclery Ladies Ride is an easy ride on Fridays around Mosman that sometimes venturing down around the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Its an easy 25kms returning back to Mosman for a coffee and chat.
Join the LeSpit Cyclery on Tuesday and Thursday Mornings at 5.30am for a 65km loop. The ride heads out from Le Spit Cyclery, head out to McCarrs Creek Rd via Pittwater Rd and return via Forest Way/Wakehurst Pkwy.
The ride leaves from the Canning bridge rowing club and heads along the Kwinana Freeway bike path to Perth then swings west to follow the north bank of the Swan river to Fremantle where a coffee stop is made under the trees at South Beach. After coffee the ride follows the south side of the river back to the start point. This is basically a slow ride (not a race) with the pace between 25 to 30kmph.
Saturday Slowies is Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club's social ride. Starting in Marrickville and proceeding slowly to Centennial Park, where we spend an hour or so before returning to Marrickville - Riders of all ages, experience levels and abilities welcome, as is any sort of bicycle.
The Lady Cyclist Weekday Ride is the perfect ride for those mums who have dropped the kids off at school and are keen to have a bit of 'me time'. It's a 40-60km ride on Wednesdays leaving at 9.30am.
Join the Kiama Silverbacks for a 75km Ride on Wednesdays and Thursdays leaving from the Kiama Fire Station at 8.30am. Its a Medium grade ride with some good hills at pace yet the bunch re-groups. Finish is at the Minnamurra Cafe - approximately 11.30am
CRT has several rides that leave from BrewHa Cafe on Saturday mornings @ 6.30am. Ride distance is approx 50 to 65klms depending on which group you head out with. The standard river loop ride distance is approx 50klms, if taking in the Shelley loop that adds another 15klms. Its a Medium to Hard ride with great coffee at the end.
The Soft Cogs Bunch is located in Singleton NSW. Depending on the riders and the prevailing wind the course is set on the morning and may consist of a long ride for some and a shorter ride for others you can choose. There are several courses to choose from incorporate vineyards to hills to river flats. It’s a Tour de France all year round but with shorter stages.
The Local Brew Ride heads out from Macca's in Port Macquarie on Thursdays at 5.30am. It's a moderate, recovery ride. open for suggestion route. It's mainly a cruisy brew ride and they are looking to start a big bunch for anyone. looking to make it as big as possible. All welcome!
The Shoalhaven BUG Saturday Roadies Ride heads out to Greenwell Pt then return. Its a medium paced 40km loop with Coffee at Cafe "Liscious Berry" St Nowra on return to catch up on the goss.
This ride was originally a "BUG type" ride. Over time it has evolved to cater for the cafe racers also. It has four groups that cater for the beginner riders all the way through to guys who can mix it with the racers. This is the perfect route for racers who are trying to get their partner into cycling. You can still work hard in a strong group while your partner can take it easy with the newbies. At the end we all catch up for coffee at Latteccino's.
Join the BAYBUG for an easy 30kms - Typically a lap around Olympic Park and then back towards Majors Bay Rd Concord; proceed up towards Concord Hospital past Brays Bay Reserve and over Ryde Bridge; west along Parramatta River to Silverwater Bridge; cross Silverwater Bridge and then back east on the other side of the river
Join the Dulwich Bicycle Club at Tempe Track on Mondays and Wednsedays for a session on the track. A broad range of riders from juniors to elites ride these training sessions, often paced with a derny. There are coaches on hand and lots of friendly faces to assist new riders. To ride on the velodrome riders need a current racing licence or some basic knowledge of the rules of the track. For the safety of all, riders may be required to undergo an assessment of their skills prior to entering the velodrome.
Head out with the Guns & Roses Bunch Ride (Hornsby NSW) through Bobbin Head to Turramurra then continue along Mona Vale Road to turnaround at Terry Hills. Back to Turramurra for coffee. Good mix of guys and girls. Average speed 25-28kph on Saturdays.
The Inverell training ride consists of a 40km loop out the Glen Innes rd and back through the small township of Elsmore. It is the climb out of town that hurts so stick with the bunch up the first hill (experienced riders will set a comfortable average speed to ensure we stay together), once we're to the top it is an enjoyable scenic route through some of the nicest country side in the state. Getting close to Inverell (about 3km) we climb up the last hill with the option of going your own pace or challenging yourself with other riders racing to the top. We wait at the top or go back down to encourage others up. We then set off into the 60k sign sprint, sit at the back of the pack and enjoy the show or get involved, with caution of traffic and other riders.Note: Thursday's ride is Tuesday's loop in the opposite direction.

Join the Coast and Toast Bunch ride on Saturday for a 70km Ride. Ride starts slow along Pittwater Rd through Collaroy, Mona Vale and Newport. The pace picks up out through the bends at Newport. Full on for the last 4 ks's coming into Palm Beach with a sprint at the ped crossing opposite the ferry wharf at Palm Beach. The group rolls around to Palm Beach LifeSaving club and regroups. It waits for Stragglers at the Life Saving Club. It then heads back around through Whale Beach and winds around through Clareville on the Pittwater side to Avalon. Sometimes the ride goes straight back to Bacino Manly from Newport, other times turns at Manly Vale and heads up McCarrs Creek Road and back down Forest Way and Allambie road to Bacino Manly for the "toast" part!
Join the Mudgee Bunch on Saturdays for 75-90km Ride. The ride ends in anyone of the coffee shops in town usually the brewery opposite the Regent Theatre.
The Dads Army Bunch Ride is a long standing and well established ride. Level is usually easy and social with Coffee and a chat at the end. A reward for the hard work through the week. The faster riders in the bunch wait at a number of places for any riders left behind. Mostly flat with some minor rolling hills and one larger hill. An easy 35kms on Saturday.
The Burwood Cycle World Shop ride heads off on various rides each Sunday morning, most Sundays we ride to Cronulla, with an option to head out to Kurnell. Some Sundays we include Waterfall or Bobbin head - check with the shop to find out more.
Join the Manning Valley Cycling Club for a cruisie ride at the start, with a few bunch kicks along the way, (we re-group after the kicks). Fairly flat, only a couple of small rises. Once we start the trip home we normally roll over and its everyone for themselves getting closer to town. We all try to meet at Raw Suger (Victoria Street) for a brew after. Its a 50km ride at medium pace.
Join the Eddie Salas Bunch for a 50km round loop on Saturdays, is a Medium paced ride - check with the shop to make sure its on.
The Eurobodalla bunch ride Tapproximately 60kms going from Moruya via George Bass drive to the hwy at Broulee then back to George Bass drive and on to Mogo. A short toilet stop at Mogo then go via Tomakin and Broulee finishing at the Air Raid in Moruya approximately 2hrs Later where most will stop for a coffee. For those who wish usually a small group will continue on for a slow lap of our Kiora Hills course which adds approximately an extra 20kms.
This bunch ride heads out from the corner of Windsor Rd and Pitt Town Road at 7.30am in Summer for a 55km loop heading back to McDonalds near the start for a coffee.
This mid week ride in Bathurst caters for all abilities. Typically an out and back course (40-45kms) along quiet back roads around Bathurst. Pace quickens on the way back but the coffee is always hot at the end.
A mid week bunch ride that leaves at 5.30am from the Spilt Cafe in Sawtell just near Coffs Harbour NSW.
The ride is medium paced for a 40 Km loop down the Old South Highway and returning back to the Cafe at about 7am.
Join the Coffs Harbour Cycling Club at 5.30am on Wednesdays for a few laps around town. The ride ends back at the City Centre Mall where some hang around for a coffee. The ride averages about 10-20 people over a distance of 50kms at a medium pace.
The Zupps ride starts every Sunday morning at 6:30am regardless of the weather and you’ll see everyone from race-entry level up to elite. More riders join along the route and the peleton can swell up to 100 riders. It heads north via Strathpine, Petrie, Burpengary, Redcliffe, Brighton and Sandgate.
The Footscray Bunch takes it easy until North Rd and then fires up to Black Rock where some turn but most continue to Mordie. Some in summer continue onto Frankston. After turning they ride back to Middle Park for a coffee and then roll back to the Western Suburbs of Melbourne.
Join this Monday Melbourne morning bunch for a nice easy recovery ride, its easy and social, averages about 30km/hr. Returns to St Kilda. The Tuesday and Thursday Bunch follows the same route, yet is a fast ride averaging over 45km/hr.
Renegade Cycles offer Saturday Rides from the shop. The rides go to various destinations that can include Galston, Brooklyn or Homebush Bay. Distances are between 40k and 85k depending on the training level you need.
If you are looking for a mid week loop around the Northern Beaches, this the one. The route is north along Pittwater Rd, past Warringah Mall (5:30am), through Dee Why shops, Collaroy, Narrabeen, then veer right towards Mona Vale shops. Left at McCarrs Creek Rd direction Church Point. There is usually a short sprint approaching the Church Point u turn. Its a medium to hard 50km loop returning to Manly Beach for coffee.
The Cycling Obsession Bunch Ride is a easy 65km ride. Perfect for any ability or gender and yes Triathletes are more than welcome. Ride leaves from Seaford, turnarond at St Kilda and return to start.
Join the Riders Choice Bunch Ride for a River Loop. It's a 65km Thursday Ride that is Medium/Hard.
Join Bike Force Myaree for a 53Km Ride with a 30kph average. Its on Tuesdays and ends with a hot coffee at C15 Cafe.
Join the Katoomba Bunch Ride on Saturdays for plenty of hills, some very steep. There are the occasional attacks on the hills but always regrouping at the top. You will see some wonderful views and enjoy some great coffee at the end. Its a Medium grade ride with about 40kms covered...
The Tour De Peninsula Ride heads south along Nepean Hwy and then the route changes weekly but usually goes through Red Hill via Tubabruba Rd, White Hill, Arthurs Seat, down to Rosebud and back up to Frankston via the Esplande. This ride is on Saturdays and is a Medium to Hard Ride covering 80-130kms....
Meet at Pierces Corner 6:10am. Pace is medium to fast. Down Pacific Hwy, through old Hornsby, passes Galston road about 6:20am. Through Bobbin Head, Reach top of Turramurra side 6:55am. Any beginners can meet and join the bunch at top of Turramurra side of Bobbin Head at 6:55am if they want to skip the hill. Slow to St Ives, down Mona Vale road to top of McCarrs Creek Rd.
Track Beginner Sessions every Friday, $10-$15. Loan bikes available. Learn the basic track technique or just ride around to get a feel for the bankings. Completely non intimidating environment. All welcome.
This ride starts from Mega Bike, King William Road, HYDE PARK South Australia. Often 100+ riders split into speed limit groups, 30/35/40/45/no limit. The difficulty is only as hard as the group you choose to ride in. Constantly rotating paceline.
The TREK Store Ride runs on a Saturday morning, leaving the store at 6.30am. Its a 50km loop out to Richmond and around the RAAF base before returning to Rouse Hill Town Centre. The ride is led by a qualified Trek Bicycle Store staff member and the emphasis is on group riding skills and enjoyment, not speed. You will need a bike, a helmet, spare tube and some change if you want a pre or post ride coffee.
The Bike Bug leaves at 6:30am on Saturdays and goes north to Church Point. Start off down Military Rd, across the Spit Bridge, and up Pittwater Rd. Then up the hill at McCarrs Creek Rd along Mona Vale Rd and Pacific Hwy to finish at Crows Nest for coffee.
The Colluzi/Latteria Bunch ride from Darlinghurst to Waterfall originated in the 1980's when St George club riders from the city/east left Coluzzi at 6.20am to hook with the club ride which left Hurstville at 7am. The ride now originates from outside Bar Coluzzi and Latteria cafes and mostly includes riders from St George, Sutherland, Randwick Botany, Easts and North Sydney cycling clubs. It is not an easy ride.
The Bike Hub Saturday ride has a couple of different routes to keep it interesting including Whittlesea, St Andrews and Black Rock, finishing back in Heidelberg with coffee afterwards! Done at a comfortable pace (low 30kmh) to accommodate newer riders and ensure we all have a good ride. It's planned as a general fitness / recovery ride.
Ride route includes Beverley Rd, Bonds Rd, Mt Pleasant Rd and returns via Main rd and Bonds rd again. There's three testing climbs so anyone comfortable with the Tour de Suburbs should give this a go to test you. A moderate level of fitness is required and we regroup after each climb. It's not an A-Grade leg-smash, although KOM bragging rights are on offer!
The Speeddome and WA Track Cycling offers two track sessions per week - Tuesday and Thursday nights from 6-8pm. These sessions are 'Open' and cost $10 per session. Bike Hire is available, simply bring your pedals and ride. Great training in any weather!
This is a popular social training ride for experienced riders, racing cyclists and triathletes alike. The ride heads to Redcliffe via Gympie Road and Petrie and returns via Sandgate and Nudgee Road. Heading out at an average speed around 30-32 km/h until picking up speed considerably for a paceline over the last ten kilometres into Redcliffe. Quick stop for a bite to eat at the Redcliffe bakery and then home via Sandgate at an average speed of 33-35 km/h.
Park Road has been cycling central in Brisbane for quite some time. There are bunch training rides leaving from La Dolce Vita everyday that cater for the needs of most serious cyclists. At 5:30am every weekday there is a 35km recovery (slower) ride. 6:00am on Wednesday is a 30km very fast ride and is definitely not for the faint-hearted, with speeds topping 50km/h on the flats.
The KOM Saturday morning rides are for intermediate and advanced riders You can expect some hills, traffic and great company. You can safely park your car at the rear of the store for the duration of the ride and we have two great cafes on either side of KOM for post ride breakfast munchies. Please make sure your bike is in good working order and you carry at least one spare tube, lights if necessary a pump and money to shout DC a coffee!.
Head out to the Famous Bondi beach, go up Military Road then back along Campbell Parade heading towards Tamarama Beach. From there it’s onwards and upwards to Bronte.
2 bunches, steady & fast. Steady paced bunch average speed approx 28 – 30km/h. Fast bunch averages 35km/h with a pace line forming on the way back at 40-50km/h.
hree bunches leave the park rolling easily until Port Botany. The first two bunches pick up the pace at La Perouse for the run home via the hills around Maroubra Beach with a paceline developing along Anzac Parade. The third bunch does the same route at a slightly slower pace with an emphasis on bunch riding. Back in the park for coffee at 8.30am
A medium paced ride, for about 35kms, then the ride slowly splits into slow, medium and fast groups on the last 20kms on the great Western Highway back to Parramatta. This ride is a out and back loop, returning to Parramatta for Coffee along the lake.
