About the Ride: The route has open roads, a few good climbs, two water/store stops, non congested roads and few traffic lights to contend with. Averaging 40+ riders with a well established A group with riders from all over the Valley, including: Colovita, Swiss American, and PCC. We also have a mid tempo, team work focused B group. We welcome all new riders and try to make sure no one gets dropped from the B group. There are 4 sprint points along a 65 mile route (optional 40 mile route) with bragging rights on the weekly email distribution.

We all focus on having a great and safe time. Our mission is building fitness and camaraderie so we ask everyone to support each other, make a new friend, and have fun!

About the Ride: A B and C level riders doing a loop north of Wilmington out Rt 82 through Kennett Square and back.
A group: training race pace, + or – B group: fast paceline riding C group: slower pace, beginners welcome. H ride: Hills with a variety of pace

Additional Notes: Show up at TTG in Trolley Square parking lot, ride leaves promptly at 5:30. Easy group roll out Hwy 52 to the Church. Some riders meet the group there. Self selection to A, B, C or Hills depending on who\’s there and how hard people need to go. Road, Mountain & Tri do this ride. The club is DRT / Deep Blue but riders from several local teams are always there.

About the Ride: rolling hills; fast pace after 20min of easy riding, but everyone finds a group to ride with; regroup once on the split from 35 or 60 miles loop (after 1h or riding).

Additional Notes: if you need more than 20min warm up loop around the neighborhood to be ready for race type pace when the 1st attack starts. You will meet very nice and friendly people that’s for sure.

About the Ride: The ride travels up the coast along the bike paths until they end. Then the group go on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and pick a canyon to climb up. There is a lot of car traffic on the highway; so, if you are afraid of car traffic you might want to avoid most of Los Angeles. The climbs are pretty tough, but there are some who only stay on the highway (mostly flat.) During the California winter the ride is slow, but during the summer expect race pace.

Additional Notes: Sometimes the group leaves up to ten minutes late, but I like to get there about 5 minutes early just in case. If you are a coffee drinker, and don’t mind paying a few bucks for a cup, then get there about ten to fifteen minutes early. Starbucks Coffee shop is consistently busy.

About the climbs… try to listen in or introduce yourself so you can get in on the climbing situation. It will not be announced. Make sure you have someone to go back with, because riding alone on PCH isn’t fun if you’re not used to heavy and fast auto traffic.

About the Ride: The ride loops counter clockwise around the Palos Verdes Peninsula with the exception of one short climb that cuts across the hill (about 12-20 minutes.) This is a fast paced ride. Some riders may be over aggressive or still be new, so be ready for stupidity.

Additional Notes: The ride regroups at the top of the climb and breaks into smaller groups. Don’t be afraid to ask around about who’s going back to the start.
