It is the climb out of town that hurts so stick with the bunch up the first hill (experienced riders will set a comfortable average speed to ensure we stay together), once we're to the top it is an enjoyable scenic route through some of the nicest country side in the state. Getting close to Inverell (about 3km) we climb up the last hill with the option of going your own pace or challenging yourself with other riders racing to the top. We wait at the top or go back down to encourage others up. We then set off into the 60k sign sprint, sit at the back of the pack and enjoy the show or get involved, with caution of traffic and other riders.Note: Thursday's ride is Tuesday's loop in the opposite direction.
