A solid Saturday training ride for racing cyclists. The bunch goes hard but waits at designated points for dropped riders. This is a relatively flat circuit and is well suited TT training.
Join the Lara Latte Cyclists for a ride which is held everyday of the week, depending on the crew, it could be a 30 or 100km ride.
Join the Castlemaine Bunch Ride leaving from the Vault Bike Shop at 9am on Sundays for a medium paced 50-70km Ride.
Join the Ashburton Riders Club, for a ride to Sassasfras in the Dandenong ranges. However there are various route options to choose. The decision on which route is usually detailed on the ARC website on the Friday prior to the ride. The most common route is via Burwood Hwy, Mountain Hwy to the Basin then up the 1 in 20 to Sassasfras.
This is a ride from Ashburton to Mordialloc via North Rd then Beach Rd. There is little traffic on the suburban streets at this early hour on the weekend. Beach Rd is a cycling mecca so relatively safe given that the motorists expect to see many cyclist sharing the road.
Join the Plenty Cycles Bunch Ride for a 30km round trip out to the Kew Boulevard and back. New riders welcome and the usual riders are always happy to give advice to the new riders. This ride is on Saturdays and Sundays.
